Thoughts on Wolfenstein 2009?
Have any of you guys/gals had the opportunity to play through the most recent Wolfenstein release? If so, what did you think? I was going to pick this title up, but I've seen several poor reviews for the game and I'm having my doubts.

RE: Thoughts on Wolfenstein 2009?
The fact that the multiplayer staff laid themselves off on the release date is a bad omen to me, so I will not play that part. It gives me the shivers.
I'm a bit into the single player campaign and it's massively dumbed down for consoles, missing the following: arbitrary saving and leaning controls. It also contains the following: auto-regenerative health (hate that), auto-aim (hate that, but can turn it off), in-game tips (hate them, says I can turn them off, but won't let me), stupid A.I. (does nothing except hug cover, regardless of position toward you.) The boss fights are worth their parts, and the guns are neat to shoot, but that's it. I love Return and E.T., but this is not the Raven Software that made their contributions to the Soldier of Fortune series and Elite Force. |

Hmmm, thanks for your response! I absolutely hate when developers release half ass ports to the PC. Yeah, I love some nice Soldier of Fortune 2 action, but your right, its not the same anymore.

RE: Thoughts on Wolfenstein 2009?
Wolfenstein really hasn't interested me at all. It just seems like a FPS wannabe game. I just wish they would have put more time into it to make it a good game, and listen to what gamers want and don't want.

RE: Thoughts on Wolfenstein 2009?
Thanks for the feedback gentlemen. I decided not to pick it up. I'm gonna pick up The Force Unleashed and MW2 in November, but what to play until then? Maybe Operation Flashpoint...

RE: Thoughts on Wolfenstein 2009?
I've played the first level of Wolfenstein. Id Software has fixed their error, the error is there is no training level on any game from them.
This is the first training level from Id Software I've seen. ----- Id's FAN ----- |
