MegatTon: Did you save it or kill it?
We all went to MegaTon, met with the nice Chief, the crazy Church of the Atom, etc., but did you accept the request from that crazy businessman to detonate the atomic bomb in it? In either case, what prompted you to make the decision? Was it because you felt it morally correct or wrong to do so, or did you just do either because you felt like it?

Of course I didn't blow MegaTon up! Tsk tsk if you did you evil person! How could you blow a cute, hurt person like Ghoul up? They already had enough trouble in their lives, and they don't need you destroying their only home in that era of very bad things! You even get a pretty little house if you save MegaTon by disabling that gigantic bomb, even though you'll get some of those Church of Atom people all riled up in their pants.

I did not blow MegaTon up because I believe there are certainly other less-immoral alternatives rather than a nuclear Holocaust of that city. A peaceful man conspiring against its fellow man is nevertheless still better than a hateful man who destroys all of his species in an incredibly short timeframe. That is how humanity has stood for millenniums, after all.

Well, this is a vigorously debated topic but, for me, i did set off the nuclear bomb in MegaTon. Now, before you become judgmental, you have to remember that none of the people in the post-apocalyptic have the goal of being perceived as saints. People there clearly base most of their actions on survivalist mentality, and I had to do blow up MegaTon because I got much more from it than I would have otherwise. I mean, come on! Would you think that anyone in MegaTon wouldn't have gotten a palace over a feeble house in the polluted city?

Well, my own morals and values often show themselves in the games I play(and often amplified), or at least the ones like Fallout or KOTOR that encourage decisions like this. I did NOT destroy Megaton. I did make a mistake and get the sheriff killed the first time I played it though. I told the Sheriff what was going on and Burke killed him Sad

In real life, I am a good guy. But to be honest, the first time I played through Fallout 3, I blew Megaton up, just to see what consequences I would face later in the game. But the second time I replayed the game, I didn't blow it up. There is always a different way to play this game, but blowing up Megaton seems to be the big one players inquire about.

Yeah F360, same here. I'm a good guy in real life, but it intrigues me to see the possible consequences of something that I would never actually do. Just to test the water in a way Smile

The first time I player I blew it up, but other playthroughs I didn't because the megaton house is my favorite place to set up my "base".

Did you guys save the slaves in the pitt or join the slavers?
